Hey guys, sounds like an awesome new topic! Here's a quick rough sketch. Will probably go through a couple quickies like these and then pick one from among them to develop further.

Quick painting just to see what the feeling of the design is like

A bit of photo cut-out to help conceptualize some of the details

Will have to squeeze in some time for matte painting! Will update soon!

Finally got to work on this a little bit. Decided that I would start putting up more step by step WIP like Rohit.

This looks really great. I really love what you've done with the sky - (this is not downplaying - at all - your concept here, but the approach on the sky has a very classic painted look that could somehow stand on it's own, but I'm going into art school mode here I guess:).
The concept looks very cool, and eagerly am waiting for the next steps.
Cheers

Thanks Mike, I totally know what you mean about the sky, it's kindda a cliched way of doing the holy/angelic sort of sky, classic cheesy fantasy stuff that I like sometimes haha.

But anyway, finally have some updates, almost finished up with shaping the landscape and working with the "ancient" aspects of the piece. The last frame is the next stage of finishing out the "future" parts. Lots to do lots to do xD

Hey guys, so here's my Final Entry. I will be going out of town without internet access this weekend and it doesn't seem like the final entry thread is up yet, so please excuse me from not posting my final entry in the correct thread. Sorry for the inconvenience and enjoy! Good luck to everyone and happy New Years! =)

Much of the Pandora theme again. Good job. Is the structure in the distance the same as in your graphic on your signage (the one based from David Mattingly's book)? I'm curious, is that regular 2d or is it built in 3d (the distant structure)?

The mega structure is a little different this time and is all 2D. I don't really work with 3D often.
