Too bad I seem to be the only person submitting a final painting so far this month... oh well.
The original brief said the deadline was the 18th! But I'm glad it's being postponed until the 25th,
maybe some other artists will post something. If not, I'll understand if the challenge is cancelled,
but am hoping it isn't. Critiques from the judges are really why I'm here and I could definitely
put that subscription to to good use too. :-B

I entered this challenge late and had a little over a week to meet the original Mar. 18th deadline.
So I kept my imagery simple and wanted the temple to be something that almost gets overlooked,
although you'll obviously see more detail in the full-res image. Anyone familiar with Indian temples
will recognize that I referenced the rock-cut caves of Ajanta and Ellora, which I visited years ago.
Also very sparingly used some cathedral imagery, stone druid ruins, and Anasazi cliff dwellings.

Anyway, no more time to work on this (going camping!), so here's the finished matte painting...

My WIP thread:

Thank you!
